At one point, I made the comment that life is a terminal condition. Daniel replied with the following quote:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Perhaps the whole root of our trouble, the human trouble, is that we will sacrifice all the beauty of our lives, will imprison ourselves in totems,\u00a0taboos, crosses, blood sacrifices, steeples, mosques, races, armies,\u00a0flags, nations, in order to deny the fact of death, the only fact we have.\u00a0It seems to me that one ought to rejoice in the fact of death&#8211;ought to\u00a0decide, indeed, to earn one&#8217;s death by confronting with passion the\u00a0conundrum of life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; James Baldwin, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Fire Next Time<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I like this.
